This site on Brushy Creek contains artifacts from every prehistoric time period in Texas. The most significant find is the burial of a young woman approximately 11,000 years old, named “Leanderthal Lady” for the nearby town of Leander. In our story, the young woman is Takaynah, mother of Mohahn, the boy crippled in a winter bison hunt. The Texas Beyond History site has great information on the Wilson-Leonard Site.
